Welcome back, Noble’s wonderful faculty and staff, to what will surely be an exciting school year for us all. The first day of classes is almost upon us, but after last week’s PD, I am confident that teachers are ready, willing, and able for a rigorous instructional program from Day One. Grant Winner

Teacher Effectiveness Task Force
With all the debate about “value-added analysis,” it is very important that LAUSD educators understand our role and how we will be evaluated. Please read this communication from the district regarding the LAUSD’s position on Teacher Effectiveness. You will note that test scores are to be used as only one of multiple measures in the evaluation of teacher and administrator effectiveness.
Child Abuse Awareness Training – Due October 31st
All employees must log on to the Learning Zone, complete this online training and take the assessment by October 31, 2010. Please print out your completion certificate and submit it to Asst. Principal Eileene Love. TAs and Special Ed. Aides will be given time during the September 21st PD to complete the training in the Computer Lab. Additionally, on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday of the first week of school the Computer Lab will be open after school (and possibly during recess/lunch) for employees who wish to complete the training with Mr. Gonzalez’s assistance.
