Some 2nd Graders were discussing whether or not animals go to heaven.
“I know where dinosaurs go when they die,” volunteered one boy. “To museums!”

Everyone will be administering pre-tests and putting our RtI2 problem-solving plans into action this week. Good luck!
March 15th Letters
By now, everyone should have read this news release about the Board of Education’s decision to issue “reduction-in-force” letters to thousands of certificated staff members by March 15th. Please remember that these notices are precautionary and are required by state law if lay-offs are possible for the next school year. There will be an optional meeting this Thursday after school in Room 11 to discuss some of your questions and concerns. We must all put our most positive energy together to wish for good news to come from the Board of Education. Our students need quality educators!
Grade Level RtI2 Action Plans
THANKS to Silvia Roman and to teachers on each grade level for a very productive round of grade-level meetings last week. Each grade has identified a data-based problem, hypothesized a solution, and will now begin a plan of action to validate our hypothesis. All of your input and willingness to collaborate in the name of student achievement is much appreciated. Go Team Noble!
Open House
THANKS to teachers on Tracks B & D for preparing their classrooms for parents for this Tuesday’s Open House. Remember that student-made invitations usually help ensure a high turnout. Teachers received this memo, which outlined expectations and the schedule for the evening.
